‘TIME MACHINE’ is the sixth studio album to be released by the acclaimed rock band, but it is the first for their new home at Cherry Red Records’ Esoteric Antenna label. The band have opened up the throttle to the maximum on this new release with their epic 70s-infused classic rock sounds. With their previous releases achieving Number 1 chart status alongside many five-star reviews, it is no wonder that CATS IN SPACE have been described as “One of the finest rock bands the UK has produced”.

On the creation of the album, guitarist Greg Hart states: “After the amazing success of our last ‘Number 1’ double album ‘Kickstart the Sun, we knew this time we had to deliver an album that would not just ‘ape’ what we have done before, and we had to continue to stretch out as a band musically. So, as always, we are saying expect the unexpected once more. TIME MACHINE sends an upbeat positive message to us all and we are all buzzing about the songs on this record. The playing and production, if possible, is even more grandiose than ever!”

'KICKSTART THE SUN' is the fifth studio album by CATS in SPACE. Recorded throughout 2021 the album continues the band’s amazing journey so far that began with the “purrrfect” Too Many Gods.

Available in limited edition 'DIABLO RED' marble double vinyl & 'HERO YELLOW' marble double vinyl, both versions come with a full colour booklet inside a stunning gatefold sleeve featuring some incredible sleeve artwork once again by Andy Kitson. There will also be a limited 2000 only edition DOUBLE DELUXE CD which has a bonus disc with 10 extra tracks! Plus a standard single CD. Plus as always, a whole host of 'Kickstart the Sun' WebStore goodies and limited editions will be available too. Recorded partly at the legendary RAK studios in London, the album features some amazing special guests including legendary 'Elton John/Walker Brothers' Pedal Steel player B.J.Cole, real strings performed in Australia by Ian Cooper, a whole brass section played by Jack Birchwood. Guest vocals courtesy of Julie 'The Duchess' Maguire, also Australian Pink Floyd's very own Emily Lynne and Lara Smiles and of course '7th Cat' vocal legend Mick Wilson. It all helped achieve what the band described as "A cinematic production bigger than anything we have attempted before, and took ten months to complete".
