CATS in SPACE - THE BRAND NEW DOUBLE ALBUM 'KICKSTART THE SUN' IS RELEASED JULY 29th.
PRE-ORDERS BEGIN MONDAY JUNE 6th at 9am BST
Available in limited edition 'DIABLO RED' marble double vinyl & 'HERO YELLOW' marble double vinyl, both versions come with a full colour booklet inside a stunning gatefold sleeve featuring some incredible artwork once again by Andy Kitson. There will also be a limited 2000 only edition DOUBLE DELUXE CD which has a bonus disc with 10 extra tracks! Plus a standard single CD. Plus as always, a whole host of 'Kickstart the Sun' WebStore goodies and limited editions will be available too.
Also available nationwide in HMV (as Smoked Grey Marble Limited edition), Amazon and all good retail outlets it adds up to being the band’s biggest release yet, by far...
Recorded partly at the legendary RAK studios in London, the album features some amazing special guests including legendary 'Elton John/Walker Brothers' Pedal Steel player B.J.Cole, real strings performed in Australia by Ian Cooper, a whole brass section played by Jack Birchwood and guest vocals courtesy of Julie 'The Duchess' Maguire, Emily Lynne and Lara Smiles and of course '7th Cat' Mick Wilson. It all helped achieve what the band described as "A cinematic production bigger than anything we have attempted before, and took nine months to complete".

'My Kind Of Christmas'

Yes, it had to happen! Cats in Space are releasing a Christmas song, and one to put a warm glow and furry fuzzy feeling inside each and every one of us this Yuletide.
“My Kind Of Christmas” written by Greg Hart, Mick Wilson and Steevi Bacon is one of those classic ‘kitchen sink productions’ that was the tradition back in the glory days of the 70s festive season. All the classic ‘Cats trademark sounds’ have united, been gift wrapped, and presented in a power packed tune destined to be an ‘evergreen’ song for years to come. Yes, there are bells, whistles, huge vocals, guitars galore and even a Children’s School choir in this epic mini-masterpiece.
Released on 12” picture disc, 7” ‘Satsuma coloured vinyl’, and a double pack 7” vinyl inside a ‘Catmas Tin’ containing a whole bunch of goodies, each format contains exclusive new B-Sides too. There will even be a ‘Christmas CD album’ containing all the songs plus a further two exclusive songs for CD only.
Add to this a vast Christmas merchandise range on the Cats in Space website, it all adds up to the biggest and most lavish campaign the band has done so far.
The song features as part of a massive Christmas campaign that sees the band head out onto the road for their second headline tour of 2019 and one that will further cement the fact that the popularity of Cats in Space continues to grow and grow.
